Hello and welcome; my name is Karen! I’m the creator and designer behind Crocheting Carrot.
A little bit about me:
I’m a wife, a mother of two teenagers, and a dog mom of four pups. I’ve had a creative soul for as long as I can remember.
I started my crocheting journey a few years ago. Learning to crochet was always on my bucket list, but I never found the time. So I began learning to crochet by reading the book “Crochet for Dummies” and watching many YouTube videos. I practice and practice stitch after stitch.
Once I felt comfortable with the stitches, I move on to learning how to read crochet patterns. About a year before learning how to crochet, I came across the crochet book “Edward Menagerie” by Kerry Lord. At first, I wasn’t familiar with amigurumi toys, but I fell in love with her animals. Kerry Lord’s book inspired me to learn the craft of crocheting and amigurumi making. Besides crocheting and amigurumi making, I also enjoy loom knitting, needle felting, and some knitting.
I wanted to start my blog, Crocheting Carrot, to share my crocheting journey with others. Also, I want to share all the tips and tricks I’ve learned. In my blog, I will share some free, easy beginner-friendly patterns, crochet book reviews, tips, and tools for crocheting. I hope to help inspire other beginner crocheters and amigurumi makers on their journey. I hope you’ll stay on this journey with me!
Happy Crocheting Journey, Friends!
Karen
